I don't want to focus on my negativity too long or dwell on it either. Hence a new journal attempting to be positive. Lately, I have been reading Conan the Barbarian books online. NGL, half the time I'm fanning myself from the sheer MANRYNESS that is Conan and the other half I'm LOL-ing my head off from the sheer "ORLY-ness" of some of the situations. It's a short read, fun and entertaining and I'm hoping it'll help me jumpstart that Tetrax the Barbarian AU fic the BF wants me to write.

Actually, I've been wanting to do an AU rewrite of "Secret of the Omnitrix" set in the Hyborian Era for like FOREVER. I just don't because I finally realized and understood something: I fucking hate writing Ben. So as much as I'd love to see a former mercenary-turned-merchant Grandpa Max accompanying his two grandchildren to their caravan's destination (with Ben as a merchant-adventurer in training and Gwen an unawakened sorceress), Ben's existence and sheer necessity in the plot makes me go: Nah, I'd rather just read Conan.

It would have been fun though. Vilgax would be a HUMAN conquering war lord, though his race would be called Chimeran and their defining features would be the hue of their eyes, their height, and the odd coloration of their hair. He'd be licking his wounds after the double-agent Captain of the Guards Xylene manages to escape with this specially enchanted bracer that has fancy gems on it. This artifact allows the wearer to transform into/channels the power of a fantasy-esque creature and it's called the Omnitrix. Like, instead of a pyronite it'd be a Salamander, and instead of an Ectonurite it'd be a Spectre or Shade. The Tetramand would be a multi-limbed ogre, the Petrosapian a golem, the Pisciss Volan would be an Undine, and etc.

At this point, Ben would have been misusing the artifact (as usual) when one of the gems get cracked and the powers housed within flare out at Ben's surroundings and sometimes himself much like the feedback pulse. The deviation from the usual course is that Max and his grandkids actively seek out Tetrax, recalling the mercenary to be familiar with the Omnitrix. And Incarcecon would be like this no-man's land type of location where all the thieves and rogues and undesirables all gather. They all go there with the intention of looking for Myaxx, because in my heart of hearts AUs, MyTrax happens prior to Omnitrix shenanigans but it's an on-again off-again sort of deal. If they're within each other's vicinity and they KNOW they're within each other's vicinity, they're together.

Otherwise, "Tetrax/Myaxx who?"

It's a safeguard so that neither can be used as blackmail material for the other. Not that that's ever stopped either of them from trying to rescue the other from whatever revenge shenanigans that was cooked up. Of course because I have also fallen head-over-heels for MySix, when Tetrax is away, Six-Six gets to play. Btw, they're all human here, okay? Tetrax being Petrosapien just means he's built like a brick house and Myaxx being Chimeran means she's really tall with venom green hair and crimson eyes. And Six-Six... is scarred and has a nose that has been broken and set wrong but he's muscled and taller than Tetrax but not as buff.

Yeah, I am basically just looking for an excuse to write the head-canon I have for this OT3 of mine. Which is why I'm more interested in outlining and fleshing out "Tetrax the Barbarian" (watch Arnold's movie "Conan the Barbarian" and you pretty much have the story though I will be deviating here and there).

I had another idea to shoe-horn my OT3, and is still another AU but it requires too much research and I obviously do NOT have the writing chops to pull if off x.x Shame. I had a fun idea for it. It's supposed to be like corporate espionage or a really campy James Bond type of story where leading Scientists are being murdered. Some war monger is looking for the ultimate scientific genius known as Azmuth. Except his last victim has given him a vital clue of "You can't find someone who doesn't exist." And then it clicks that Azmuth is not just one person but 6 individuals, and that it's an Acronym, which explains the wide scope of scientific fields.

A stands for Albedo and it's Alberto's codename. Z stands for Zen and it's Zhang's codename (I opted for OC's in this because why not?). M stands for Myaxx and it's Maximillia's codename. U stands for Uber and it's Unter's codename. T stands for (sadly NOT Tetrax) something-I-haven't-figured-out-yet and it's Thaddeus' codename. And H stands for Hex which is Horatio's codename. Yes, I am creatively bankrupt, I do not deny this.

Zhang and Unter have both been tortured to death for the information. Horatio has defected over to Virgil (Vilgax) and clued him in on the remaining members of Azmuth. Alberto eventually turns tailcoat on the rest of the scientists, possibly because he feels like he's always in someone's shadow and is trying to make a name for himself but consistently gets written off as a doppelganger in terms of creations. But it boils down to the survivors needing "protection" and of course Maximillia ends up getting Tetrax aka Trent as her personal bodyguard. Six-Six aka Sheist comes into the picture as the hired assassin type who falls for Max in a weird way that only makes sense to me. MySix begins primarily as a spite-ship (since headspace declares that Sheist and Trent are bitter rivals, or at least from Sheist's POV, Trent is more "You're an inconvenience, Sheist" ) because MyTrax happened. Eventually, MySix becomes a twisted obsession when Max manages to pull one over on Sheist and actually humiliates him 8DDDDDD No, MySix is not healthy or happy (for Max at least) but I like exploring this sort of pairing.

I have no clue how that ends because uh I'm just in it for the Mytrax and Mysix @ 3@a Gah! Where was the supposed positivity I was going for with this journal? O_o
