P.S. It wouldn't be karate. Karate means open-handed. All the hand strikes are with an open hand.

Well, karate does technically mean " open-handed", but most of the styles of Japanese/American/Okinowan do use punches as strikes. I took Tae Kwon Do for a few months, and many of the strikes are with a clenched fist- it's very forced and tough. I now do a style of Chinese kung fu, where 90% of the strikes are with an open hand. Much more effective that way

Hmm... I could've sworn karate meant 'empty-handed', not necessarily 'open-handed'... after all, one of the sayings in karate (Shotokan school, anyway) is "I come to you - with empty hands."
There's something a bit wrong with the left sleeve, and the left fist could use some more size to it. Also, it looks like the guy is just holding out his fist, and not really throwing a punch - but then again, this way, it looks like he's holding out his fist as a threat.
The heavy lines look really good, very powerful and really add to the theme. And I must say that I'd love to see this design on a T-shirt.
Keep the great stuff coming!
